A long week

A busy week closed this evening, and a most pleasant fashion. Dave and I watched the sun go down behind our hollyhocks.

Dusk found us sitting around the fire, not really talking, just being still.

It was a cool evening, I toasted my tootsies
while Dave toasted marshmallows.

A cold Spotted Cow finished off the evening.

Fire is the most tolerable third party. ~Henry David Thoreau

We have been enjoying sitting out in the back yard in the evening. The dogs love to sit out on the glider with us and we watch fireflies and the stars. Such a nice end to a day-very contemplative!
