At Random
Definition of RANDOM
1. Having no specific pattern, purpose, or objective: random movements.
This morning, Dave spotted eight turkeys, walking single file in the empty lot across the street. What was weird is that they were walking away from town! We live at the edge of this small town,,,,,,,where were they coming from? Had they found food or shelter IN TOWN? Weird.
Of course, by the time I got outside to snap a photo, the turkeys were too far away for the camera to capture. You'll just have to trust me, they are in the shot. I did run outside in my jammies on a 25 degree morning...........
This next picture is an exercise in randomness, I just took a shot of my favorite crochet hook, (I am sooooo glad to have it back) a basket, and the book that I am reading for a discussion group. My friend Lynda is leading the group..........open to all, want to join us?
Then, while trying to be completely random.......... I did THIS,,,,,,,,,, I put three dark stripes symmetrically placed in my stash afghan! I did it randomly! Now it looks planned........

TROUBLE and SCRUMBLE
(WITH A CAPITAL t AND THAT RHYMES WITH p AND STANDS FOR POOL)
with my wrist. ( Sorry for the cheesy reference, but it is my favorite movie) Actually P stands for pain, in my wrist, so I have been doing very little knitting, but I can crochet! So I have been scrumbling. I love free form work.........
These are a few scrumbles I have done lately, I don't know what they will become yet, probably a bag. In the process, I lost my favorite crochet hook. , After frantic searching both the shop and home, I found it behind a chair at home,,,,,,,,I am almost sure it was NICK who put it there!
This hook is a gem, a Grafton Fibers creation. I just love it! I use it for all my scrumbling, no matter the thickness of the yarn, or stitch.
The sock of the month group at the shop has begun stitching. We met Tuesday evening,....... and tonight, Thursday, just 48 hours later, the ladies have made remarkable progress! WOW!
Here is a close pic of some of the socks. The pattern is Meida's Sock from Favorite Socks.

A little fantasy, anyone?

Abducted!
>
>
..
Well, there is no such thing as a secret in my family. My smoking niece (pun intended) ( Smoking gun, get it?) told her mother that I had fled, and soon everyone knew of my abscence..................
At exactly 1:12 AM six relatives stormed into my bedroom,,,,,,,flashed on the ceiling light and yelled "BUSTED!" There they were,,,,,circled around my bed, all wearing jammies,,,demanding my return to the sleeepover! My mother stayed back at the cottage. So,,,,,, around 1:15 a caravan of three cars, all containing women in nightclothes, traveled across town, back to the cottage, my car being the last in line. We finally slept.
It was a great time,,,,,,,but I was really tired by Sunday night. So now you all know,,,,,,I come from a long line of women as crazy as me!
*Note .........Added later.......I forgot............there was one more surprise guest,,,,,,,,,My six year old granddaughter lost a tooth around 10pm...............Although no one saw her,,,,,,,,.......the tooth fairy brought a hefty amount of cash while Emili and the others we abducting me from my bed!
